Osteopathy is a gentle form of manual therapy. It works under the principle of structure being integrally tied to function as well as the law of cause and effect. The practitioner works to bring the body back into proper structure so that proper function may be restored. OMPs believe that symptoms of disease are simply effects of the cause; once the cause of disease (structural) is removed, the body will self heal and self regulate.

Marie graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton in Spring 2025. While she has always had an interest in health sciences and anatomy in her undergradute days, she ended up graduating university with a degree in environmental engineering (2007) and a masters in applied science (2011). After about ten years of working in the field, Marie chose osteopathy as a second career because it provided a way to help others more immediately as well as being intellectually stimulating. The environment and permaculture remain passions, as evidenced by her love of organic gardening and keeping goats and pigs. Marie lives on Morninglory Farm in Killaloe with her family.
